Talking about “take off” time!

Amazing weather in NZ with beautiful days, cold nights and a fresh dusting of new snow on the mountains that reminds me that winter is not far away. For me the past 6 months have been very busy with heliskiing in Canada, ski touring and running guide courses in Japan and I still have an upcoming trip to Greenland to complete before the action starts again in Methven.
The guiding team at Methven Heli have also been busy. Jamie has had a big summer guiding in the Southern Alps and during his free time has taken up road cycling between looking after daughter Zoe. He is extremely fit and keen for some big days out this winter.
Laura has held onto her reputation as one of NZ’s top female kite surfers and is looking for guests interested in kiting on snow this winter?
Roy has been catching waves, skating and enjoying the new trails at Mt Hutt bike park. Al has also been into the water sports between running his rafting company and keeping up with family. Paula has been guiding for Alpine Gary and Mark are currently in Europe guiding the famous Haute Route!
Our high country helipads have been busy hosting guests over the summer and enjoying favourable conditions for farming. Philip is currently on the Lake Heron autumn muster and busy with the farm He knows winter is just around the corner and looks to forward to viewing his property from the air!
The team is looking forward to winter, “take off time” will be happening before we know it!
