Local boy becomes Mountain guide

Tawny Wagstaff grew up on Mt Hutt! Always keen on the mountains Tawny quickly latched  onto the ski industry training as a ski patroller through the Polytechnic scheme and then becoming a certified ski instructor. Further development of his skills led to a new direction becoming a certified guide. Ski guiding has now taken Tawny initially to heliskiing in the Southern Lakes region and now back to working in his home town as a guide for Methven Heliski! Tawny spends the Northern winters guiding in Hokkaido Japan. When not ski guiding Tawny freelances as a stone mason and his skills in working with Otago Schist are in high demand! The picture below is of Tawny at guides training, all he needs now is a group to guide!!
