Waking up to a beautiful winters day there is nothing like sneaking out for a few runs on the local ski area Mt Hutt which I must say has been skiing very well since opening day. The excuse of course is to check out the conditions in the backcountry, unfortunately we are not operating as yet but if we were I am sure it would have been an amazing day out. To justify my days work I did take a photo of the view looking towards the Arrowsmith Range. Great morning on Mt Hutt but I know where I would rather have been! Opening day is not too far away fortunately!

80 to 100cm of dense new snow currently cloaks our heliski region and will provide a great base layer for the season. We are busy preparing for a busy season and looking forward to starting operations on July 1st. The guides have been busy in the off season. Kevin has had time in Canada and Greenland. Jamie has a new daughter named “Zoe”. Roy and Scott have been surfing while Tawny spent the winter in Japan. New to the team this year is Laura an IFMGA guide previously from CMH heliskiing and Alaskan guide Dylan.
